Arctic Race Challenge – experience the race from the inside
The Arctic Race Challenge is your opportunity to become part of the Arctic Race of Norway itself. You start and finish in the same arena as the professional riders – in a true race atmosphere, with spectators, music, and adrenaline.
This is your chance to ride the courses ahead of the world’s best cyclists, and then be ready in the finish area to cheer them on after you’ve completed your own race. Experience real race excitement, cheering crowds, music, and worldclass logistics!
Arctic Race Challenge 2026
The start takes place in the heart of Stokmarknes, by the iconic Hurtigruten Museum – the same start line used for the Arctic Race of Norway. The short distance begins shortly before the professional stage starts, creating a full festival atmosphere right from the beginning.
Storheia Summit – the iconic challenge
The finish is at Storheia Summit – a 3.5 km climb with an average gradient of 11.8%, often referred to as “Northern Norway’s Mont Ventoux.” This is a legendary climb in Arctic Race history, last used in 2019 when Odd Christian Eiking claimed a historic Norwegian victory.
Along the way and at the summit, you’re rewarded with spectacular views of Hadseløya, Vesterålen, and the Lofoten Wall.
