The Arctic Race of Norway is responsible for its natural stadium, its roads and this nature of which she is only the guest. We are doing our best to respect the environment in which the race operates.
During a 4-hour stage, the riders refuel with water can, cereal bars or other food. It generates garbage which, in the past, could finish in the nature. To reduce the waste and the impact on the nature, the Arctic Race of Norway set-up one dedicated waste zone per stage in order to facilitate the work of the cleaning team after the race.
The riders are encouraged to throw their water cans in this area as, for many fans, they represent a unique memory of the race. Some are even collectors of bottles from the cycling teams: a great example of waste reclamation!
